25 April 2008 - Goldstorm Holdings Limited  (Papua New Guinea) has signed a contract with Canopus Software Ltd. to provide the country's first electronic payment service provider with a comprehensive payment processing solution. The solution will be based on Macrobank E-wallet out of the box product complemented with payment card processing and SMS-banking functionality.

The project involves the creation of entire infrastructure to enable local population and businesses to enter e-commerce in a most convenient way. Macrobank E-wallet will provide means for online shoppers to pay for goods and services with the PSP's own e-money and private label payment cards and for online shops to accept such payments. SMS-banking functionality will help customers of e-businesses to make payments in areas where there is no Internet connection. Normal day-to-day banking operations will also be available via SMS.
