«This letter is the feedback from the National Bank of Mutual Credit (NBMC), a Russian commercial bank, joint stock company, on the operation of Macrobank*4 integrated banking software, developed by the Canopus Ltd.

NBMC has been working with Canopus company since 1994. They have proved to be a stable company and reliable business partner.

Our bank has been running new Windows version of Macrobank*4 banking software since January, 2001. Having preserved the advantages of its predecessor Macrobank*2, the new version provides wider functional capabilities.

As on beginning of 2002:

• Number of customer accounts - 42,000
• Number of transactions per day - 800 - 2,000

Today the bank's network comprises 40 workstations, running Windows as the network OS. The server represents a dual processor platform 2xIntel XEON 933Mhz. There have been no delays in network operation of the software.

Macrobank*4 allowed us to automate all standard banking operations. Flexibility of the application allows us to meet demands of ever changing market and requirements of Russia's Central Bank.

With its open platform, Macrobank*4 offers unlimited room for upgrade and extension of the system.

There have been no failures or occurrences of inaccurate data processing during the entire period of operation of the software.

Migration to Macrobank*4 allowed us to:

• be confident of accuracy of all transactions and account balances
• remove obstacles to implementation of innovative banking technologies
• strengthen employee loyalty to the bank
